1 .并列连词引导两个并列句子1 ) and和or
判断错误：
(错误的) theysatdownandtalkaboutsomething。
(错误的) They started to dance and sang。
(错误的) isawtwomensittingbehindandwhisperthere。
(是的) theysatdownandtalkedaboutsomething。
(是的) They started to dance and sing。
( isawtwomensittingbehindandwhisperingthere。
分析：
第一句： talk必须更改为talked，因为and连接两个并行谓词。
第二句： and连接两个并列动词的不定式，第二个不定式多省略to，故sang应改为sing。
第三句：作为and连接感观动词saw之后宾补的两个并列分词结构。 因此，whisper应该变更为whispering。
注： and也可以与祈使句或名词短语连用来表示条件。

2 ) both …and两者
sheplays(both ) the piano and the guitar。
3 ) notonly…but(also )，不仅是as well as ) )
She plays not only the piano，but(Also ) the guitar。
注意： not only… but also
关联两个从句时，一个从句有否定词not，所以必须倒装。

4 ) neithe…nor是“……也不是……”的意思
谓词采用邻近原则，与nor后面的词一致。
Neither you nor he is to blame。
2 .比较and和or1 )的并列结构，or通常用于否定句，and用于肯定句。
2 )但是，and有时也可以用在否定句中。
请注意其特征：
There is no air or water in the moon。

在否定中，并列结构通过or连接，但包含两个否定词的句子实际上被视为肯定结构，所以使用and。
例题---I don't like chicken ___ fish。
---I don't like chicken，___ I like fish very much。

把句子里的表并列起来，用or，but改变表。
判断错误：(错误) We will die without air and water。
(错误的) We can't live without air or water。

3 .表示选择的并行结构1 ) or意味着“否则”。
I must work hard，or I'll fail in the exam。
2 ) either…or是“或……或……”的意思。
注意谓语动词采用相近原则。
Either you or I am right。
4 .表示转折或对比：1) but表示转折，while表示对比。
Some people love cats，while others hate them。
例题的典型

答案d。
but与前转换，符合词义。
另一方面，表的排列的and、结果的so、原因的as都不符合文章内容。
2 ) not…but…是“不是……”的意思
not和but后面的术语应遵循一致的原则。
They were not the bones of an animal，but(thebones ) of a human being。
5 .表因关系
1 ) for
判断错误：
(错误的) For he is ill，he is absent today。
(没错) He is absent today，for he is ill。
for是并列连接词，不能位于包含两个并列分句的句子的开头。 只能放在两个分句之间。
2 ) so，therefore
He hurt his leg，so he couldn't play in the game。
注意：
a .两个并列连接词不能连用，但therefore、then、yet .可以与并列连接词连用。
You can watch TV，and or you can go to bed。
He hurt his leg，andso/andthereforehecouldn ' tplayinthegame。
b. although… yet…但是，although不与but连用。
(错误的) Although he was weak，but he tried his best to do the work .
(没错) Although he was weak，yet he tried his best to do the work。
6.so与suchsuch比较是形容词，修饰名词或名词短语。 so是副词，只能修饰形容词或副词。
o也可以与表示数量的形容词many、few、much、little连用，形成固定组合。

soadj.a(n ) n.suchn.( pl.) )。
soadj.n.(pl.) suchn.( pl.) )。

so many已经成为固定的组合，a lot of相当于many，但a lot of是名词性的，只能用such组合。
so…that和such…that之间的变换是so和such之间的变换。

注意： too .so . that .such . that .enough . to .的交换。
