莫纳什大学
莫纳什大学，成立于1958年，是澳大利亚最大的跨国大学之一，也是全球顶尖大学之一。莫纳什大学在世界排名中位列第75位，是澳大利亚第2所入选“维多利亚研究计划”的大学。目前莫纳什大学有5个校区，分布在澳大利亚的3个州和马来西亚的1个州。
莫纳什大学的前身是墨尔本大学医院的医学院。1958年3月19日，墨尔本医院正式成立。当时共有150名医生、280名护士和600名行政人员。1960年代初期，由于人口增长迅速、医院床位不足、医生数量不够用，政府决定在墨尔本东部郊区开设一所新的公立医院——莫纳什医院。1964年7月1日，莫纳什医院正式开始运作。随着新医院的建成，原来的墨尔本大学医院也因此更名为“皇家墨尔本医院”。
1966年7月1日，由于当时澳大利亚国内外对教育的关注日益加强，澳大利亚高等教育委员会决定将原来的墨尔本皇家医院升格为一所独立的公立大学——“皇家墨尔本理工大学”。1966年12月10日正式成立。1968年3月20日又将原来的“皇家墨尔本理工大学”更名为“皇家墨尔本理工学院”。1969年5月20日又设立了独立的“皇家墨尔本理工专门学校”。1971年3月8日又设立了独立的“皇家墨尔本理工外语学校”。1972年2月1日三所独立学校合并成立新的公立大学——“皇家墨尔本理工大学”。1974年4月1日又设立独立的“皇家墨尔本理工法律专门学校”。1975年2月1日法律专门学校加入皇家墨尔本理工大学而成为该校法律系。1977年4月8日又设立独立的“皇家墨尔本理工数学专门学校”。1978年2月1日数学专门学校加入皇家墨尔本理工大学而成为该校数学系。1980年2月1日皇家墨尔本理工大学更名为“莫纳什大学”。
如今,莫纳什大学每年都有来自100多个国家/地区的12000多名外籍学生,也是澳大利亚最大的外籍學生集中都市.莫纳什大學還有5500多位遠道考異聞名,遠道考異聞來自80多个不同國家/地區.
莫纳什大学在全球排名中位列第75位，是澳大利亚第2所入选“维多利亚研究计划”的大学。莫纳什大学的医学院、商学院、法学院和工程学院均入选了“世界一流大学”建设名单。

ThepredecessorofMonashUniversitywasthemedicalschoolofTheUniversityofMelbourne(TheUniversityofMelbourne,ParkvilleCampus).OnMarch19,1958,MelbourneHospitalwasofficiallyestablished.Therewere150doctors,280nursesand600administrativestaffatthattime.Atthebeginningof1960s,duetotherapidpopulationgrowth,insufficienthospitalbedsandinsufficientnumberofdoctors,thegovernmentdecidedtosetupanewpublichospitalineasternsuburbsofMelbourne-MonashHospital.OnJuly1,1964,MonashHospitalofficiallystartedoperation.Withthecompletionofthenewhospital,theoriginalMelbourneHospitalwasrenamed”RoyalMelbourneHospital”.
OnJuly1,1966,duetotheincreasingattentiontoeducationathomeandabroadinAustraliaatthattime,theAustralianHigherEducationCommissiondecidedtoupgradetheoriginalRoyalMelbourneHospitalintoanindependentpublicuniversity-the”RoyalMelbourneInstituteofTechnology”.OnDecember10,1966,itwasofficiallyestablished.OnMarch20,1968,itwasrenamed”RoyalMelbourneInstituteofTechnology”.OnMay20,1969,anindependent”RoyalMelbourneInstituteofTechnologySpecialSchool”wassetup.OnMarch8,1971,anindependent”RoyalMelbourneInstituteofTechnologyForeignLanguageSchool”wassetup.OnFebruary1,1972,threeindependentschoolsweremergedintoanewpublicuniversity-the”RoyalMelbourneInstituteofTechnology”.OnApril1st1974,anindependent”RoyalMelbourneInstituteofTechnologyLawSpecialSchool”wassetup.OnFebruary1st1975,LawSpecialSchooljoinedRoyalMelbourneInstituteofTechnologyasitsDepartmentofLaw.OnApril8th1977,anindependent”RoyalMelbourneInstituteofTechnologyMathematicsSpecialSchool”wassetup.OnFebruary1st1978,MathematicsSpecialSchooljoinedRoyalMelbourneInstituteofTechnologyasitsDepartmentofMathematics.OnFebruary1st1980,RoyalMelbourneInstituteofTechnologywasrenamed”MonashUniversity”.
Nowadays,MonashUniversityhasmorethan12000foreignstudentsfrommorethan100countries/regionseveryyear,whichisalsoAustralia’slargestforeignstudentconcentrationcity.MonashUniversityalsohasmorethan5500overseasstudentsfrom80differentcountries/regions.
